5 topics that often come up in Shopify stores
Each topic is based on the platform’s own documentation; the source is under each card.
Choosing a payment provider
- Why it matters
- Businesses in Türkiye take payments on Shopify through a third‑party provider; the provider you choose shapes the checkout and the total fee.
- What we do
- We compare providers on checkout and total fee, then set up and test the one you choose.

Old tracking code on the thank‑you page has stopped
- Why it matters
- In stores not on Plus, the old code on these pages stopped working on 26 August 2026; sales may be under‑counted.
- What we do
- We move purchase tracking to Shopify’s web pixels and check every channel with a test order.

Rules in Scripts need to move to Functions
- Why it matters
- Since 30 June 2026, published Scripts no longer run (Plus); discount, shipping or payment rules that depend on them have stopped.
- What we do
- We list which rules depend on Scripts and move them to an app that runs on Shopify Functions.

A deleted app’s code stays in the theme
- Why it matters
- Removing an app doesn’t automatically delete the code it added to the theme; the leftover code can slow the page down.
- What we do
- We find app leftovers in the theme, clean them up in a copy of the theme and measure speed before and after.

Manually added pixels ignore the consent choice
- Why it matters
- Shopify’s cookie banner manages its own tools. Pixels added by hand or through an app may run without consent unless they are connected separately.
- What we do
- We connect the pixels to Shopify’s Customer Privacy API or to a consent tool.

What matters most on this platform:
- Technical
We check the theme, apps and checkout regularly and put the changes Shopify announces in the calendar.
- Sales data
We compare the sales counted by web pixels, GA4 and ad accounts with the orders in the store.
- Products and content
We keep an eye on the product data sent to the Google & YouTube channel and on Merchant Center errors.
- Rules
If you sell to Europe, we set up the cookie banner, returns and legal pages to each country’s rules.

Transaction fee with third‑party providers
Shopify charges its own transaction fee with third‑party and alternative payment providers. We work out the total cost including the provider’s commission.

Selling in local currencies
According to Shopify, only stores using Shopify Payments and one‑page checkout can use the full local currency feature.

Redirects when moving
On Shopify, a redirect works only from an address that no longer opens (it returns 404). We can add old addresses in bulk by CSV.

Thank‑you page rule
For stores not on Plus, the deadline to move to the new version of the Thank you and Order status pages was 26 August 2026.
The old connection that sends products to Google
Google’s Content API reached its sunset date on 18 August 2026; since 1 September, requests from connections without an extension fail now and then. We check that the app sending your products has moved to the new connection (Merchant API).
