Selling in a market that isn’t here? We cover it in the review too.
Language: each country expects its own
The product page and safety information are in the language of the country where you sell. We work in Turkish, German and English.
In an online listing, warnings and safety information are in a language set by the country where the product is sold and easily understood by consumers. EUR‑Lex (opens in a new tab)
On platforms such as ikas, the language, translation and a price list in the country’s currency are set up separately for each country. ikas Destek Merkezi (opens in a new tab)
In Shopware, each domain gets its own language and currency, and each sales channel its own countries, payment and shipping methods. Shopware Docs (opens in a new tab)
Rules: shared across the EU, extra in each country
Product safety follows the same rule across the EU; packaging and battery registrations are separate in each country.
An online listing clearly shows the manufacturer’s name, postal and e‑mail address, and information and a picture that identify the product. EUR‑Lex (opens in a new tab)
If the manufacturer is outside the EU, the listing also gives the name, postal and e‑mail address of the responsible person in the EU. EUR‑Lex (opens in a new tab)
Amazon asks for a separate Extended Producer Responsibility registration number for packaging and batteries in each EU store where you sell. Amazon Seller Central (Deutschland) (opens in a new tab)
Rules from the calendar
EU
in 6 days
For goods sold online and shipped into the EU from outside, customs receives product identifiers: the seller’s, the manufacturer’s and, where there is one, a standard one.
Our part
We make the SKUs, manufacturer part numbers and barcodes in your store complete and consistent.
EU · Germany
New EU packaging rules apply. Selling into Germany without a branch there needs an authorised representative.
Our part
We check your packaging registration and finish the missing steps with you.
EU
Temporary · ends 1 July 2028
The EU duty relief up to €150 has ended: goods whose VAT is collected through IOSS, or that come by post, pay €3 per type of item. Under the EU guidance, A.TR goods may be exempt with a full declaration without IOSS.
Our part
We review your prices and delivery details for it; your customs broker handles the customs side.
EU
Every listing in the EU names the manufacturer with a postal and an e‑mail address, the product details with a picture, and the warnings. A manufacturer outside the EU also names the economic operator in the EU.
Our part
We add these details to your product pages and marketplace listings and close the gaps with you.

Shipping and customs: three questions when shipping from Türkiye
Where is VAT collected, what customs duty applies, where do returns go? Your customs broker handles customs.
For orders up to €150, VAT can be collected at payment (IOSS), so the buyer pays nothing on delivery. Your Europe (European Union) (opens in a new tab)
A seller established outside the EU generally appoints an intermediary established in the EU to use IOSS (except in countries with a tax assistance agreement with the EU, such as Norway). European Commission, VAT e‑Commerce One Stop Shop (opens in a new tab)
