5 topics that often come up when selling on Amazon
Each topic is based on the platform’s own documentation; the source is under each card.
Order defect rate above 1%
- Why it matters
- If orders with negative feedback, an A‑to‑z Guarantee claim that isn’t declined, or a chargeback exceed 1% over 60 days, the account can be deactivated.
- What we do
- We see claims and chargebacks the day they arrive and write to you about the product causing trouble and its likely cause.

Seller cancellations above 2.5%
- Why it matters
- If seller cancellations on orders you ship yourself exceed 2.5% over 7 days, the account can be deactivated; cancellations by the customer don’t count.
- What we do
- We match the stock on Amazon with your warehouse and close sold‑out products that are still for sale, every day.

Shipments confirmed late
- Why it matters
- If more than 4% of the orders you ship yourself are confirmed as shipped after the expected date, the account can be deactivated (over 10 or 30 days).
- What we do
- We compare your shipping time with the setting on Amazon and set it up so the shipping confirmation goes out the same day as the parcel.

Tracking numbers not valid
- Why it matters
- If shipments with a valid tracking number fall below 95% over 30 days on orders you ship yourself, selling in that category can be restricted.
- What we do
- We set up a routine that enters the carrier and tracking number in the right field, and track the rate every week.

Packaging and battery registration numbers missing
- Why it matters
- Amazon asks for a registration number for products under Extended Producer Responsibility; packaging and batteries need a separate number in each EU Amazon store.
- What we do
- We work out which number each country and product needs, enter the numbers in Seller Central and track what’s missing.
